Camera Scanning

Why we scan:

Digitizing your collection allows you to preserve your precious memories for future generations. Safeguarding your images is extremely important when only one copy exists. This is critical in case of a catastrophic event such as a flood or fire. Creating an organized, digital copy provides a way to duplicate, enlarge, share, or create additional products with your images. This is extremely beneficial for creating slideshows for special events (birthdays, weddings, graduation, anniversaries, retirement parties and funerals).

How we scan:

We offer professional, white glove camera scanning, utilizing the same technique used by museums for archival purposes. While many companies use bulk-automated feed scanners, we “re-photograph” each photo, slide or negative with a high-resolution digital camera. This approach is called “camera scanning,” and it captures detail at 600 PPI for prints and 4000 PPI for slides and negatives. This produces a sharper and more detailed image.

What we scan:

  • Printed Photos: Family snapshots (loose photos)

  • Slides: 35mm and various other formats (rediscover images from bygone days)

  • Negatives: all formats (unearth lost and possibly never seen photos in their highest, original quality)

  • Scrapbook Pages: up to 12”x12” (create digital copies for other family members)

  • Photo Albums: Individual pages or entire albums

  • Memorabilia: Treasured keepsakes (medals, trophies, badges, military items). High-quality images provides you with the opportunity to create a digital scrapbook of these precious items. This is a great option for sharing with other family members or if you are downsizing your physical belongings.
